There's An Android Robot Pissing All Over The Apple Logo In Pakistan On Google Maps

Metro- The fierce rivalry between Android and Apple has taken a new twist, after an image of an Android mascot urinating on an Apple logo appeared on Google Maps. The crude cartoon, which shows the ‘Bugdroid’ mascot urinating over the iconic Apple logo, is located south of the Pakistani town of Rawalpindi, but can only be seen in map view mode. AIthough it’s possible for users to edit certain parts of Google’s mapping data, the privileges needed to plant the image on the map aren’t available to the public. Could the cheeky dig at Google’s fierce rivals be an inside job? But a Google spokesman insisted that the cartoon was the result of a ‘cheeky edit’, by a Google Maps user. ‘Even though edits are moderated, occasionally the odd inaccurate or cheeky edit may slip through our system’, they told Mashable. ‘We’ve been made aware of the issue and are working on getting it removed’.

I’m an Apple guy but you gotta give props where props are due. Those sneaky bastards over at Google.  Just putting their guy pissing all over the Apple logo in some remote part of Pakistan and knowing somebody would find it.  A big ol, “Fuck you” to the Apple people. I’m probably gonna get roasted by nerds on this one.  Telling me that anybody can edit Google Maps and put that logo in there.  That it wasn’t the Google people and was probably just some hacker dude.  Whatever.  I don’t know. I have no idea how Google Maps works but that doesn’t make it any less funny.  Another reason I’m 100% sure it’s the work of Android and their employees?  They said they were gonna have it removed, they issued a statement saying the image was removed but it isn’t.  I just went on my phone and checked.  Still there.  That little dude is still there reliving himself on Steve Jobs’ logo.  See for yourself.  Go to Google Maps, put in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, scroll down a little bit and there he is.
